Extracting or splitting pages
Splitting lets you pull a range of pages into a new PDF, or break a document into one file per page. It's ideal for extracting a single chapter, removing a cover sheet, or separating a batch-scanned stack into individual documents.
Page ranges accept single pages and spans (for example 1, 3, 5-8). Everything is processed locally with pdf-lib — your document stays on your device, which matters for contracts, statements, and anything sensitive.
How to use Split PDF
- 1Add the PDF you want to split.
- 2Enter a page range (for example 2-5), or choose to split every page.
- 3Click Split.
- 4Download the resulting PDF file or files.
Frequently asked questions
Does splitting upload my file?
No. It's handled in your browser with pdf-lib — nothing is sent to a server.
Can I extract just one page?
Yes. Enter a single page number as the range (for example 3) to extract that page.
What happens when I split every page?
You get one PDF per page, delivered together so you can save them all.
